Most would agree that a Design Management Plan is a pretty useless document. It is seen by few and typically updated only on the rare occasion that a project is audited.

At its core, AlphaZeta is essentially a Design Management Plan as a live and interactive software platform. It is our intention that it will replace the document itself, which we believe has had its day.

Existing software platforms in the construction space typically cover Project Management, Construction Management and Document Management.

Oddly, there is nothing for Design Management. Nothing that sets up the project from the beginning of the design and supports the design team throughout.

AlphaZeta does this.

Risk Profile standardises the evaluation of the overall project risk.

Competency uses common industry language and expectations to set minimum competency levels to sign off as a document approver.

Project Set Up serves three purposes:

1. It’s quick and easy to set up a new project
2. It provides immediate visibility of the project context
3. It creates the metadata that underpins all the features that follow

Document Control is a single, centralised workflow that sits on this project metadata. It runs from Protocols > Document List > Uploads > Approvals > Register > Transmittals.

All the pieces are linked via a beautifully designed database. Each feature builds on the one before it – you never input the same thing twice.

The complexity of the design is hidden. You will only see simplicity.
